Call it a Brooklyn Bath Toy

That public pool in Brooklyn that got the fifty million (!) dollar renovation, only to be overrun by Youths? It gets worse.
Looking at images of the pool you see why it cost so much to re-do, and why it may prove too expensive still: it's just too big to be safely operated--if the population is like Brooklyn's (just imagine that thing full of Youths!) and not like, say, Portland's. If the only concern is accidental drowning, you can hold the place down with a couple of well-trained lifeguards. If your concern includes the possibility of deliberate drowning... Fuggedaboudit.
