I believe in Canada that's called a Hansen, or a "Hansen Brothers"; in the British Isles it's known, as far as I can tell, as a "Blay-uh." Seriously, doesn't this photo look like it was taken from some quaint old sex ed flyer warning of the effects of excessive masturbation?
An uncle of mine, helpfully unburdened by any sense of cultural sensititvity, while visiting England a few years ago thought to ask his host that question that has confounded those of us on this side of the Pond for ions - "Why do English people has such awful teeth?".
His host was good-natured enough not to take offense and gave him the definitive explanation. Dental care is covered by the U.K.'s notorious national healthcare system, but is given a very low priority. As such, Britons often must wait 2 years or more before having dental work done.
So there you have it. Socialized medicine has resulted in a great nation of people with Billy Bob teeth.
