Just discovered your blog with this post and will have to poke around some more. You are blogrolled.

At least on the subject of Bloomberg, Unity08, and divided government, we are thinking along parallel lines. My most recent post "Disunity08" explores the same themes.mwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11181222537529037359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16017668.post-27275071936060235812008-01-12T19:12:00.000-08:002008-01-12T19:12:00.000-08:00mnuez:What are you a stinkin communist?mnuez:

What are you a stinkin communist?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16017668.post-35607523498040152582008-01-11T10:56:00.000-08:002008-01-11T10:56:00.000-08:00Interesting stuff, glad I found your blog.Interesting stuff, glad I found your blog.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18186407630949599460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16017668.post-27654163767496987422008-01-09T20:14:00.000-08:002008-01-09T20:14:00.000-08:00Marvelous post, Mr. Dale. I do have about as massively import...Yah, all true. I do have about as massively important an addition as one could have however - though, being new here, I don't know whether it's something that you talk about at length elsewhere. You're a brilliant analyst and a passionate rebel so I hope that you do. In any case, what I'd like to point out is that there are actually TWO Great Satans threatening the liberty of the people (both in their masses and in their individual personhoods). One of course is the government and the second is the wealthy.

Now, it takes no great courage to harangue the government. Both parties do it, one party's motto is on the Evil That Is Government, and a large and proud portion of the intelligentsia proudly call themselves Libertarians - and they make it their business to hate and mock the intrusiveness of the government.

It does however take some courage to lambaste the EXTRAORDINARY power of the wealthy to influence (nay, to control) the manners within which we all live. And how we think. And what we see and hear around us all day - every day. And what our proper morals ought to be. And WORST of all, what all our neighbors think - thus demanding that the individual who aspires to be free move his domicile out to Walden Park.

NOBODY (verbally, literarilly of physically) rips apart the wealthy and the life-controlling stranglehold that they have on us all. The Libertarians are just a shade smarter than the average man and thus they adore ideas that are out of the mainstream but fail to realize that The Free Market that they worship offers Donald Trump his power no different than it did Joe Stalin - and certainly no different than it did George Bush. After all, did not tens of millions of Americans vote for him? They're really not too bright those who fancy themselves Libertarians (or even cooler, Anarchists!) and thus they love the various slogans of "Freedom" but they have no deep understanding of the forces that prevent it and how they're analogous to each other.

Anyhow, I'm sure you have a more intelligent readership than most of the government-hating blogs out there so I doubt I'll hear too many "what are you a stinkin Communist?!" queries but I equally doubt whether very many readers will take the time to consider a non-knee-jerk reaction to what I'm attempting to point out here and will actually take the time to consider a view that I have hardly ever heard expressed anywhere else (since the 19th Century, I mean).

I hope I'm wrong though.

Cheers,

mnuez
www.mnuez.blogspot.commnuezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10328856077944673860noreply@blogger.com
