I'd have thought it impossible to improve upon the lyrics to Imagine. Some things are just too awful to salvage. But Cee Lo Green has done it.

(God, to be able to lose that mopey f---ing solo rap at 5 minutes in--what a great song this would be!)

Let's just cut to the chase of the liberal path to nihilism:
"nothing to kill or die for / and nothing to live for too."
My response to "and no religion too" comes from the sage Stanley Hudson of The Office: "what do you say fantasyland is anything we want?"
You want unicorns too, John?
I'm not a fan of that song, either:

If Hell has a soundtrack, it's Imagine, over and over.
Imagine is unintended kitsch; Lennon doesn't seek to understand these evils as he sees them, he implores us to close our eyes and imagine them away. Yeah, war, man...
Hey, asshole, you're the artist, aren't you the one who's supposed to imagine something? You and your candy-cane confections; damn you!
Imagine no bananas. It's easy if you try. Nothing to make splits with, or to put in a cream pie...
